Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 to 2003. The NFL's most successful tight ends and the third best overall receivers, he has been ranked as the NFL's leading tight end in terms of receptions, yards he has received, made, etc.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst for FOX sports studio. Gonzalez is anchoring FOX NFL KICKOFF and FOX NFL KICKOFF. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame hour show which airs before FOX NFLSUNDAY. The show airs at 11:00 am ET on Sundays during NFL season.
On March 15th, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign with the Falcons for a two-year $14 million contract, despite his claim that Gonzalez would retire at the end of 2013. Randy Moss retired in 2013, and Gonzalez aged 37 when he left, was able to finish the final year of his career in the position of being the NFL most prolific receiver of yards.
